Welcome to Oscar’s Barn
Oscar’s Barn is nestled on a hillside in the middle of the beautiful countryside of Raby Estate’s land with far reaching views of the North Yorkshire Moors to the east and the Pennines to the west.
It is part of a larger property, some of which dates back to 1750, and is situated near the historic Roman village of Piercebridge. It consists of a first floor barn apartment adjacent to the owners home, and the Nook which is split level and an extended part of the main house just across the courtyard.
To the rear of the property is unspoilt woodland and guests have use of extensive gardens with a wildlife pond and several patio areas with garden furniture.
The accommodation is beautifully furnished to a high standard. Freshly baked cakes and a welcome basket which includes locally sourced bread, butter, milk, biscuits and a few small surprises along the way greet your arrival.
This sought after location offers peace and tranquillity and makes an ideal touring base with near-by mainline railway station and good access to the A1 and A66 motorways.
The surrounding area offers many tourist attractions with the historic market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle just a short drive away, whilst a little further afield lie the delightful City of Durham and the North Yorkshire coastline with its quaint harbours and ports.
